  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Sift all dry ingredients together in a medium bowl
  3. In a large bowl, with electric mixer, cream butter and both sugars
  4. Add egg, molasses, and vanilla
  5. Gradually add in dry ingredients
  6. Scoop doug with small to medium ice cream scoop
  7. With slightly damp hands, roll dough into balls and then rolls the balls in white sugar
  8. Place balls on a pan
  9. Bake 12-13 minutes, rotating halfway through
  10. Leave on sheet until they set up a little, then transfer to wire rack
